Effective Vocational Education and Training Strategies to Reduce Youth Unemployment

I am happy to announce that I along with Zafer Çelik, PhD from Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Asma Hedi Nairi, Ph.D and Gamze Bozgöz completed our research report “Effective Vocational Education and Training Strategies to Reduce Youth Unemployment.”
This report takes a comprehensive approach to tackle the pressing issue of youth unemployment across the Member Countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), commissioned by the Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC). By drawing insights from case studies of Germany, Türkiye, Tunisia, and Uganda, comparative analyses, and successful implementations, the report provides guidance to member countries in devising customized approaches for mitigating youth unemployment and fostering social inclusion.
We presented it at the COMCEC 21st Poverty Alleviation Working Group meeting on October 9-10, 2023. Special thanks go to director Can Aygül and Mehmet Akif Alanbay who have guided us in the whole process and helped us overcome many challenges in collecting data and writing the report.
